I help teams put AI into products that people actually use — applied work, not a slide deck.
What I take on
AI work that ships into the product.
Freelance and consulting for teams that need another pair of hands on applied AI — from first prototype to something you can put in front of users.
-
01
AI in the product
Help decide where AI belongs, what it should do, and how it should fail. Scoping, architecture, and the trade-offs between a clever demo and something you can maintain.
-
02
LLM and agent work
Prompts, tools, retrieval, evaluation, and the glue that makes language models useful in a real workflow. I care about reliability more than novelty.
-
03
Applied machine learning
When a learned model is the right tool — training, evaluation, and fitting it into the product — still as AI work, not a separate practice.
-
04
Reviews and pairing
Short engagements to unstick a problem: review an approach, sit with your team, or help you choose what not to build.
How it goes
Small scope. Close loop. Something you can use.
No theater, no fake case studies. A straightforward way of working so you always know what we are doing and why.
-
Tell me the problem
A message on X is enough. What you are trying to ship, where it is stuck, and what good would look like.
-
We agree on a useful slice
A clear piece of work with a boundary: a prototype, a review, a feature, a set of evaluations. Not an open-ended retainer unless that is what you want.
-
I work in the open with you
You see the thinking as it happens — assumptions, dead ends, and the next decision. No disappearing for six weeks.
-
You keep the work
Code, notes, or a recommendation you can act on. The point is that your team can continue without me if that is the right call.
About
Just a nerd in Artificial Intelligence.
That is the honest version. I am Efrain Galvis, based in Colombia. I take on freelance and consulting work when a team needs help putting AI into a product — or making sense of AI they already started.
I like the craft more than the pitch: models, language systems, the messy middle between a paper and production. If that sounds like the kind of person you want on a problem, say hello.
